Keychains designed for the storytelling gallery/shop Skóbúðin in Ísafjörður Iceland. Skóbúðin means “the shoe store” and the reason for the name is that this store used to be a shoe store for decades and thats how the locals refer to the building.
I liked the idea of holding on to the origin of the store but still creating something completely different by focusing on local arts and crafts. The most logical thing to do was to use old, useless shoes for something completely different. The keychains are designed and made locally and sold in Skóbúðin.
